Welcome to ZIS Baden

Expanding to Grade 8 in August 2010!

A warm welcome to ZIS Baden! We offer a comprehensive education program in a happy,  caring and thought-provoking environment where every child is appreciated for their unique qualities. Members of the ZIS Baden community have created a strong team where everyone feels special and appreciated. Like a family we spend our days together sharing our strengths, supporting each other, and learning how to negotiate the challenges of the world around us.

Having opened in August 2008 as a primary school (Pre-School to Grade 5), ZIS Baden is now expanding to include a Middle School (Grades 6 to 8), building on our already strong curriculum and team of highly qualified and motivated teachers.

We believe that education involves looking at the child as a whole – academically, socially, emotionally and physically. We provide a stimulating environment that challenges our students to be active, responsible thinkers. We believe students need to connect to and understand the world around them by being critical and reflective citizens prepared to take action. One of our most challenging goals is preparing our students for a changing and often unknown future. We believe that if our students can work confidently and collaboratively, solve problems creatively using a ‘can do' attitude and show compassion and respect for other individuals, they will be ready to face whatever situation arises.

We are all excited to be part of this dynamic and inspirational school, located in the center of Baden, which is only 20 minutes by train to Zurich.   Even as we grow in size, we will strive to maintain our family-like atmosphere where we all know we belong. ZIS Baden is an exciting, energetic and active place where our children come to school knowing that we care about them and the actions they take.
