Do you offer a bus service at Zurich International School?
Zurich International School offers a bus service that picks up and drops off Lower School children at specific points along a variety of routes, and brings them directly to the school in Wädenswil for the start of the school day.
We offer flexible departure times at the end of the school day in order to accommodate children who want to participate in after school activities and recreational sports. This means that children can either depart directly after school or an hour later on the days they have after school activities.
What areas does the bus service serve?
ZIS busses operate in the greater Zurich area. Each bus operates a timetabled route, based on the location of registered bus riders. Please contact the Admissions team for more information.
The timetable is available for current parents in our Community Portal.
What bus services are available for Middle and Upper School students?
We offer a shuttle bus service for Upper and Middle school students from Thalwil train station to the Middle School in Kilchberg and to the Upper School in Adliswil on a daily basis. The shuttle bus takes students back to Thalwil train station after school.
We are also able to offer a service from Tiefenbrunnen to the Middle School and Upper School if we receive a minimum of 10 registrations.
In addition to the public bus services departing from the Upper School, an additional bus service is available just for ZIS Upper School students, which goes directly to Adliswil train station and then onto Zurich Morgental. This extra bus service is exclusive to ZIS Upper School students.
How do I register for the bus service?
New families can register online prior to their start at ZIS. Routes and pick-up points for Early Childhood and Lower School children are planned around the location of registered families. Families starting at ZIS during the school year can also register for the bus service. The bus service fee is invoiced twice per school year, in September and February.
