Our Community

Globally minded with a sense of local community
Students in a group high-fiving

The strength of the ZIS community, one that crosses the globe and the generations, is that we are a community that is tied by experience not location.

  • Our admissions team will help you in the process of deciding whether ZIS is the right school for your child. When a child starts school at ZIS the whole family becomes part of the ZIS experience and we strive to make it special for everyone.
  • The school and parents are partners in the education of our students. Through our communication efforts we aim to keep you well informed of happenings at school, including in our award-winning magazine Voices.
  • We also help to provide a community for parents through our vibrant Parents' Association.
  • ZIS provides a strong alumni community for students and families once they no longer attend our school.

As a non-profit organization, ZIS relies on philanthropy and volunteerism to make possible our unique "ZIS Experience."

Each year the school launches an Annual Fund which further enhances educational excellence at ZIS.

The generosity of the community has made it possible for ZIS to run successful capital campaigns in recent years enabling us to extend our infrastructure. We are excited to be creating a Middle and Upper School campus and have launched The Campaign for ZIS: Building the Future of Learning to support this effort.
