David Wood

David Wood
ZIS Middle School Principal

David has been the Middle School Principal since 2010 having previously served as High School Assistant Principal at the Western Academy of Beijing. He has also taught at international schools in Saudia Arabia as well as in his homeland of Australia. His career began as in health education and youth work, including for the Western Australian Justice Department and lectured at the Edith Cowan University in Western Australia. David's professional interests include motivational theory, innovative educational programs, school design and helping each student and teacher in his school find success. He has a BSc in Youth Work and Addiction Studies from Edith Cowan University, Certificate in Couseling from Curtin University, MEd in School Guidance and Counseling from the University of West Alabama as well as teaching qualifications.
