AP Physics C is a course designed to expose the student to a first-year university physics curriculum during the final years of high school. The year-long course is divided into two main sections: Mechanics and Electricity & Magnetism. The Mechanics section will be taught during Semester 1 and includes the following topics: Kinematics, Newton’s Laws of Motion, Work, Energy, Power, Systems of Particles & Linear Momentum, Rotation, Oscillations, and Gravitation. The Electricity & Magnetism section will be taught during Semester 2 and includes the following topics: Electrostatics, Electric Circuits, Magnetic Fields, and Electromagnetism.
