These online workshops are free for ZIS Students and are supported through the generosity of parent and alumni donors to last year's, 2018/19 Annual Fund - registration is required.

Create your own game with Scratch

There’s sound and music all around us! This workshop will have students exploring the science of music and sound, creating music and instruments with a range of found objects, and even finding music at home.

Grade 10 students Jade Klee and Sofia Orol are running a science workshop for girls in Grades 4 and 5 on Saturday, May 9. Inspired by recent ZIS guest speaker Ann Makosinski, the Upper School students have made this their Mission 10 independent project.

Introduction to Python Programming

Grades: 6-12

This workshop will be dedicated to teaching the fundamentals of the Python programming language, alongside how we may think in a programmatic way to ease designing future programs.

Can you tell the difference between human art and AI-generated art? In this workshop we will dive into the fundamentals of machine learning, explore its applications in art, and even use AI to generate your own pieces.
